Volunteer with TreeChange
The work of volunteers is central to everything we do, and the contribution of volunteers isn't always visible but it is undeniably significant in our pursuit of growing Ireland’s forests. We accept volunteers with a diverse range of skills regardless of their time constraints. Are you interested in getting involved?
Volunteer roles:
We are always looking for new volunteers to join our effort.
Those interested in helping with the plantation of trees are greatly appreciated. Your role will be to help our team in a range of different areas.
Volunteering Tree planters help us make the most of our donations in the creation of the perfect forest.
Can I Volunteer?
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply regardless of experience, those experienced already in the plantation of trees will be more involved in more skilled tasks on site.
What Commitment Do I Need to Make?
You must be able to devote at least one shift per fortnight, ideally for a minimum of three months.
How Do I Sign-Up?
If you are interested in joining our team, all potential volunteer tree planters must attend a training session with us. The training session takes an hour and will cover the basics of tree plantation and proper safety.
All volunteers need to be able to follow procedures, especially relating to personal and team safety and adhere to Treechange’s values and policies. Applicants will need to provide a reference at time of application. To apply and participate in our next training session complete the online application form.
Office Volunteers
We welcome volunteers with administrative skills to assist to our office based tasks and website organization.
Most of the volunteers can expect to assist with light administrative duties in the management of tree plantation or community management but some work on special time limited projects.
Community campaigns
Treechange offers its partners the opportunity to allow local communities to contribute in the design of its forests either by involving local schools or the greater community. Volunteers can help facilitate the organization of these campaigns.
